Recently we have just started to look at Amibroker software. It looks pretty interesting for doing large portfolio tests on many symbols quickly. In particular, it appears to have the ranking/sorting capabilities that AIQ has. It is really affordable software and I think it is because they do no advertising. So far I like the free trial I am evaluating. You might check it out for yourself:
http://www.amibroker.com/There seem to be a lot of features and if you use Interactive Brokers, I believe it is possible to hook to them via AmiBroker and trade in real time. Other broker interfaces might be supported or you might have to write your own. I'm not sure at this time.
